A ria right at the centre of the Emerald Coast

The Arguenon is a ria, i.e. a former waterway flooded by the sea. Up to the village of Plancoët, the Arguenon
is a tidal river with very special scenery.
The river’s name – ar guen or white river – comes from the mysterious foam that builds on it during high tides.
This natural artery is a junction between the sea and the charming countryside.
Welcome to a land of water.
Enjoy a multitude of different sceneries, from the mouth of the river via a lake to its source.
